Lent

Lent is a solemn season of repentance, reflection, and renewal. Over forty days (not counting Sundays), the Church follows Christ on His path toward the cross, hearing His call to turn from sin and trust in His mercy. LCMS congregations often gather for midweek services, creating a rhythm of worship that slows us down and focuses our hearts. Lent is not meant to be gloomy—rather, it is honest. It confronts our need for redemption and prepares us to receive again the comfort of Christ’s sacrifice for us.
